Artist Watch: Future Islands

Future Islands could be mistaken as one of those bands riding the Passion Pit / MGMT wave, but when the vocals come ripping through the music you’re quickly convinced otherwise. The singer is so epic his voice often dwarfs the mini-fi synths and quirky boom baps, but the songs are still hooky and impossibly fun. I haven’t seen them personally but I hear their live show is awesome. Not your typical, be sure to check out their myspace and support them on their tour!
