Neon Indian – “Sleep Paralysist”

Written by admin on June 3, 2010

For weeks, there wasn’t a day that I didn’t see a web banner of Neon Indian’s lead singer Alan Palomo holding a Mountain Dew can (aka Green Lab Sound), begging me to listen to their new single “Sleep Paralysist.” It got to the point where, I can safely say, I saw him more than some of my friends. Maybe it was his luxurious hair or his mysterious eyes, but something within compelled me to finally take a listen. Regardless of whether I was hypnotized by Palomo’s seductive stare or not, I’m glad I caved in. While still holding onto chillwave roots, “Sleep Paralysist” takes on a more up-beat, less lazy approach, making it both infectious and haunting. Neon Indian premiered the video for “Sleep Paralysist” today and it’s just as trippy and cool as the song.
