Samuel – I Heart NY (MP3)

You can now download Samuel’s “I Heart NY” free of charge.  Seeing that we’ve been talking about this song for years, im going to keep it short and let you read what our friends over at Pigeons & Planes said:

“It is my absolute pleasure to introduce you to Samuel.  Born and
raised in NYC this pop-y crooner has what most new artists today lack;
heart and soul.  His debut single “I Heart NY”, written by Samuel and
produced by super duo The
Knocks
, is like lemonade on a hot summer day.  The record crackles
like an old radio as the twinkling xylophone is paired with a thumping
bass track and some serious love from the brass section.  If Katy
Perry’s “California Gurls” is the virus consider Samuel’s “I Heart NY”
the antidote.  The chorus, serving as Samuel’s introduction to the
world, is catchy as fuck. As the music swells Samuel states with his oh
so nonchalant New York swagger, “I was made to grow up and be famous,
So I’m tying my best to stay shameless” and with music like this, he
will be.

And our Neon Gold Family:

Samuel is one of our
number one dudes in NYC (and we just returned from rage managing his
West Coast tour), so it’s with great pleasure that we unveil his debut
single “I Heart NY”. I guess it’s trendy to rhyme about NYC ever since Jay and Alicia started banging on
about bright lights and concrete jungles, but this was our original NYC
anthem, the demo racking up a serious play count in our iTunes since we
first met the Heavyroc crew
18 months ago. The Knocks
are at the helm here once again, stringing a playful keys riff through a
maze of big brass blasts and singalong group vocals, resulting in a
breezy summer anthem for the city that never sleeps and a brilliant
first single for Samuel as he readies his debut album for release later
this year.”
