The Knocks featured in Corona Ad

It’s a big day here at HeavyRoc HQ. We’re proud to finally show you the official Corona Light commercial starring The Knocks and featuring “Make It Better!” The ad is part of a new marketing campaign that aims to take Corona off of the beach and show its versatility in locations elsewhere, i.e. parties. Advertising Age wrote a piece on the ad that perfectly sums up The Knocks involvement in the commercial.

”The new ad, called ‘Party Mashup,’ set on two rooftops backed by the Los Angeles skyline. In the ad, music from the casual celebration conflicts a more upscale party nearby. The tension is resolved when the two DJs (‘B-Roc’ Ruttner and James ‘JPatt’ Patterson) join their music together, which is meant to play on Corona Light’s positioning as a premium/casual brand.”

The mashup begins when B-Roc puts on Run DMC’s “It’s Like That” at party and it soon competes/combines with JPatt’s playing of “Make It Better” on a nearby hotel rooftop. Corona Light’s new slogan is “It Only Gets Better,” making this a perfect collaboration. Hope you enjoy the commercial!
