Miike Snow – Paddling Out

Written by admin on February 6, 2012

Miike Snow is one of those rare treasures that both bros and hipsters alike proudly proclaim adoration for. Whether it be in Terminal 5 or the sliders place on St. Mark’s, their music is suitable for any environment and any occasion. The trio consists of famed Swedish producers Bloodshy & Avant (the duo responsible for Britney’s “Toxic”) and American vocalist Andrew Wyatt and from what I’ve heard, this international combination results in a live show that is out of this world; imagine strobe lights, obscuring smoke, a jackalope, and a ton of synths aka I’m really stoked to check them out at SXSW 2012. Equally foreign are the kids starring in their new music for “Paddling Out.” Apparently, there is another planet far from New York and antithetical to LA that is on a quest to create the perfect race of dancing, big-nosed humans.
