A lack of a constantly thriving music scene leaves one yearning for real grit, real live shows.  My prayers have been answered by Animals of the Arctic, Miami-born-and-bred and ridiculously noisy and on fire.  They're what a garage band would sound like if said band emerged from the cavernous, slime-ridden, electric depths of Miami nightclubs and house parties - humorous, danceable, an audial good time/best night.  That said, they'd be equally at home in any space where sweaty people wanted to dance.  "Ambulance Sirens" is the charged yelps of a lovesick stalker on the prowl; in "Black Moss," he's less desperate, darker and maybe more intense.

They're coming to Vagabond in Miami this weekend, I hope to be dancing my face off and blogging them too. Cool feature, should be some high adrenaline stuff! 8bit, 80s, and an indie drum :P http://ericreator.wordpress.com
