Don't let the low number of songs on their sparse myspace fool you. For Brooklyn boy-girl duo Acrylics, quality far outweighs quantity; three songs (and a few hip and cryptic pics) is all they need to make a statement. With new-wave era synths, and soft and floating melodies, they manage to be tight and mellow without sounding boring. Plus, who doesn't love when bands trade-off vocal duties? It's a soft and fresh take on (oft-played out) airy, lo-fi indie rock. Perfect for summer.
